Dr. Joseph Escobar is a board-certified family medicine physician in Los Angeles. Patients were finding the practice, but the site was not making it easy to act — appointment requests took too many steps, the layout was not built for the phone most patients search on, and accessibility had never been addressed.
The goal was a redesign judged on one thing: how quickly a patient searching for a same-day appointment can request one.
We designed around the appointment request rather than around the homepage, and treated accessibility as a build requirement rather than a post-launch audit.
We looked at how patients actually reach a family practice — symptom searches, insurance questions, location and hours — and built the information architecture around those entry points instead of a traditional practice brochure structure.
The booking path was shortened and moved into persistent reach on mobile, so the request action is available from any page rather than only from a contact screen.
A calm, clinical palette with strong contrast ratios, generous type sizing, and clear focus states — decisions that serve both the accessibility requirement and older patients using the site.
Custom WordPress build with full ADA accessibility work, Local SEO for the practice’s service area, and AI search optimisation so the practice surfaces in answer engines as well as in map results.
