Both connect apps and automate steps between them. n8n can be self-hosted and extended with code, which suits AI agents, high volumes and sensitive data. Make is a hosted visual builder with a very large app library, which suits marketing and sales operations. We recommend one based on your needs.
Who builds the automations?
Devma plans the work with you, and our sister studio Devma Labs, which focuses on n8n workflows and AI automation, builds and maintains the more advanced workflows and agents. You have one team and one point of contact.
Is it safe to let AI work with our data?
It can be, with the right guardrails: least-privilege access, human approval for risky actions, logging, and self-hosting when data should not leave your servers. We design those guardrails in from the start.
Can automations run on our own server?
Yes. n8n can be self-hosted on your infrastructure or on Devma Hosting, so your workflows and data stay with you.
